The Globalization Cluster welcomes the 2021-2022 International Economics Post-doctoral and Ph.D. Fellows.

The 2021-2022 International Economics Post-doctoral Fellow is Sebastian Ellingsen. Sebastian studies Economic Geography, Political Economy, and International Trade, with a particular emphasis on spatial data. Sebastian received his Ph.D. from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and will be joining the University of Bristol as a lecturer in July 2022.

There are four International Economics Ph.D. Fellows joining the Globalization cluster community this year. In the fall, Monika Sztajerowska and Nicole Gorton will be visiting. Monika is a Ph.D. student at the Paris School of Economics and Nicole is a Ph.D. student at UCLA. In the spring, Agostina Brinatti and Verena Widemann will be visiting. Agostina is a Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan and Verena is a Ph.D. student at the University of Oxford.

The International Economics Post-Doctoral Fellowship began in 2015 and offers the opportunity to join the Dartmouth international economics group for a year between the completion of a Ph.D. and the start of a tenure-track assistant professorship. Post-doctoral fellows receive a competitive academic year salary, an office in the Economics department, a small research fund and moving costs. The obligations of the selected Post-Doctoral Fellow are to be in residence at Dartmouth for the academic year, to take part in the normal research-related activities of the Department (seminars/lunches etc.), and to interact with the trade and broader economics faculty in the Department and at the Tuck School. Applications are considered through EconJobMarket.org. A call for applications will be posted in the fall, and the fellow will be notified in the winter; please see this website for more information.

The International Economics Ph.D. Fellows began in 2017 and offers the opportunity for Ph.D. students to join the Dartmouth international economics group for a single term during their Ph.D. studies. Ph.D. fellows receive a stipend, an office in the Economics department, and the opportunity to present their own research to faculty for feedback. There are no teaching or RA obligations associated with the position: Ph.D. fellows are simply expected to be active members of the vibrant Dartmouth international economics community. A call for applications for next years' fellows will be distributed in Spring 2022; please see the website for more information.
