Globalization was a grand project of new ideas, policies, and global architecture that promised to transform the world for the better. Despite a sweeping vision of efficiency and abundance, the results have been mixed and the political backlash significant. Dean Weinstein will draw lessons from the world’s experience with globalization as we grapple with the opportunities and challenges posed by a new grand project: the rise of artificial general intelligence. As resistance to data centers and other manifestations of technological expansion grows, Dean Weinstein will reflect upon what globalization can teach us about governing in the technological age.

In person: Tseng classroom, Tuck School of Business. The event will also be livestreamed and recorded. Register here.
